This VAIO is MINE - Sony Style brings Customization to VAIO

Sony offers customized notebooks designed by the people who use them

TORONTO, ON – Expanding on the commitment to the customer, Sony of Canada today unveiled a new customization program that enables Canadian consumers to create their own personal VAIO® computers. Available exclusively online at Sony Style (www.sonystyle.ca), the Custom to Order (CTO) program allows for complete personalization by providing VAIO consumers with a variety of options that can be incorporated into the design of their notebook. Through an easy-to-use interface, customers are able to choose the specific components that are most applicable to them before purchasing their computer. This option results in the perfect set of features for each individual's notebook

"CTO provides consumers with the ideal computing solution," says Puneet Jain, Director, IT marketing, for Sony Canada. "It allows them to create and configure their notebook computer and enables them to have control over the features that meet their needs and requirements. We have incorporated some unique elements into the Sony CTO program that allows further personalization beyond the conventional. This, combined with our unique selection of stylish and slim VAIO notebook designs, creates a perfect combination of form and function. "

The program will also be available in the near future at the Sony Store and can be applied to current VAIO CR, FZ and SZ series notebooks.

Every aspect of the new CTO VAIO can be tailored specifically to meet consumers' preferences. While engraving options on all of the models enhance the personalization aspect, the CTO CR series leverages Sony's colourful, sleek and compact design. This provides a variety of colours to choose from that match each customer's personality.

A variety of software and program options ensures that there's more to the CTO VAIO than meets the eye. Through Sony Style's CTO program, customers can choose from a number of hardware and software components that answer their individual computing needs. These options include, but are not limited to, the choice of optional batteries for varying power needs and a range of graphic card options for the ultimate multimedia experience. Other features include Sony's XBRITE™ LCD screen that provides an incredibly bright viewing picture and is a unique environmentally friendly option that helps consumers better manage power consumption.

The CTO program demonstrates Sony of Canada's continued efforts to provide exceptional products and services in addition to strong customer service to Canadian consumers. The CTO VAIOs are available now at www.sonystyle.ca.
