SELECTED SONY BRAVIA™ XBR FLAT-PANEL LCD TVS NOW FEATURE CHOICE OF FIVE HIGHLY-STYLISH, COLOURED BEZELS
Consumers design their own rooms – now they can design their own TVs TORONTO, Ontario – Sony of Canada Ltd., Canada's leading supplier of electronic and computer products for consumers and business, today announced it has developed a choice of five coloured bezels that can be affixed to the front of selected models of its style-leading BRAVIA™ XBR flat-panel LCD (liquid crystal display) televisions.
The five bezels, available in white, red, blue, matte black and brown, can be easily affixed to the following Sony BRAVIA XBR flat-panel LCD TV models – KDL-40XBR2, KDL-46XBR2 and KDL-52XBR2. The bezels have a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $299.99 and will be available at selected retailers in October 2006.
"The new bezel applications will add flair and sophistication to both traditional and non-traditional spaces in the home, allowing consumers to coordinate their BRAVIA TVs with their rooms, as well as personalize them. Canada's most popular flat-panel TV technology, the new BRAVIA XBR models feature 1920 X 1080 screen resolution, BRAVIA Engine Pro™ video processor and three HDMI inputs with 1080p capability. However, three models -- the 46-inch KDL-46XBR2, 40-inch KDL-40XBR2 and 52-inch KDL-52XBR2 -- feature a silver bezel with an elegant floating glass design.
These models also feature a state-of-the-art audio package, built-in ATSC tuner, personal computer input, two HD component, one S-video and three composite inputs.
The BRAVIA KDL-46XBR2 and KDL-40XBR2 models are available today. They are available at MSRPs of $5,499.99 and $4,499.99, respectively. The BRAVIA KDL-52XBR2 will be available in November 2006.
Rounding out the BRAVIA XBR line is the 32-inch KDL-V32XBR2 model featuring a 1366 X 768 screen resolution. It is equipped with Sony's BRAVIA Engine™ video processor and Live Color Creation, which delivers a sharp and rich picture from both SD and HD sources.
The set's narrow, two-tone, black and silver bezel incorporates invisible bottom speakers with SRS-TruSurroundXT™ and BBE Digital Enhancement technology.
Other features include a built-in ATSC tuner, single HDMI and PC inputs, as well as two HD components, two S-video and three composite inputs.
The BRAVIA XBR KDL-V32XBR2 set ships later this month at an MSRP of $2,399.99.
